This month we are organizing a Disaster Relief & Recovery project to help our N. California neighbors suffering from recent floods in the Bay Area. We are also working on issuing our 2022 Donation Statements to Donors, finalizing our 2023 Volunteer project Calendar, rolling out a new Managed Mission Volunteer registration system, and submitting budget reports to financial partners who now support our Disaster Relief efforts on a multi-year basis. This month we welcomed home our Disaster Relief & Recovery teams from N. California, who were deployed to help with flood relief in the Santa Cruz, CA area. We also announced the new Gap Year Program partnership with Pacific Bible College, which you can learn more about by clicking here. This month we are preparing to kick off our 2023 Asparagus Harvest project to benefit Food and Clean Water projects in Kenya. We are also finalizing plans to help with a Pastors Conference in India and our Alaska Native Outreach project. If you have not signed-up for a service project yet - GOOD NEWS! We still have plenty of room in our S. Oregon Makeover project, which will focus on making repairs at Wilderness Trails (see above video). This month we are raising funds to serve Tornado Survivors and support our annual S. Oregon Makeover, which this year will bless at-risk students at Wilderness Trails. We are also kicking off our 2023 Asparagus Harvest project to benefit Food and Clean Water projects in Kenya. So, if you have a couple of hours free on any Saturday between 4/29/23-5/27/23 we'd love to have you help us snap the harvest! During May we continued to raise funds for Mexico Houses (see "Special Message from our Founder and President" video for more information)! This month we are also happy to share that we released our 2023 Q1 Child Sponsorship Newsletter. We hope you enjoy reading this update - which includes the fact we are now employing over 17 people in Kenya to help us with various local outreaches (e.g. office admin, teachers, caretakers, Women's saving program, Child Sponsorship program etc.). We also completed our S. Oregon Harvest , S. Oregon Makeover, Alaska Native Outreach, and Kenya water well project, which now provides water for 600 students, teachers and cooks at the Bethany Education Center in Nairobi - please click each these links to see pictures and videos from each project. During June we plan to kick off our Mexico house building projects and welcome our new Disaster Relief & Recovery Coordinator, Jeromy Collins!
